If you're new to making real estate transactions, you may not be aware that there are several types of real state agents. Each of the different types of agent has a specific job when it comes to making a transaction, and you may have to deal with several just to sell your downtown Toronto real estate. There are times, however, when one type will be of more use to you than another type. If you're looking to sell your home in Salem, the type you'll be looking for is a listing agent. We'll tell you all about them here.

Simply put, a listing agent is the type of agent you would hire if you want to list (i.e. sell) your Toronto Annex real estate or Salem condo. You, the homeowner, sign a contract with the listing agent that she and only she will assist you in selling your property in return for a commission, usually a percentage of the sale price of the property. Because the commission is a percent, the listing agent is motivated to get you the best possible price.

As your listing agent, she should look out for your only. Some real estate agents do double duty as representative of both buyer and seller, but this is ridiculous, as the agent would be negotiating against herself once the offer is made. That's not to say that you shouldn't hire any Spokane, Washington real estate agent who represents buyers as well as sellers. Many real estate agents do this, especially if they are independent or belong to a small office. It's just that you shouldn't allow them to represent buyers who are interested in your home.

Once you have hired a listing agent, he will be responsible for all of the marketing and negotiations that are involves with putting up a home for sale in Arlington, TX. He should advise you on the price you should as for your home, create photo and text ads to place in the real estate listings, place the listings in various media, receive interest from buyers, conduct them through your property, and negotiate on your behalf when the offers start to roll in.

If the property you're looking for in Salem is a commercial one (such as a factory or storefront) rather than a residential home on the Mississauga property listings you need to make sure your agent is a commercial agent. She may do double duty as residential and commercial agent. That's fine.
